Logistics Supervisor

Our client, who are market leaders in their industry are looking for a friendly, organised, and proactive individual to join their team as a Transport and Warehouse Supervisor.They are looking for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and who can keep operations running smoothly. A strong understanding of Logistics and Freight Forwarding is required. Due to the nature of the business, strong administration skills and great organisation skills are paramount for this role. You will also be the main point of contact for customers and the wider team; therefore, you need to be at ease communicating on all levels.Key Responsibilities include:Routing and resource planning: Assign drivers and vans and design cost-effective daily routesPaperwork and Admin: Preparation of all delivery documents in ExcelTracking and ETA Accuracy: Monitor drivers routes and update customers with accurate ETA''s via tracking systems such as FedEx, DHL and UPSFile and Record Management: Keep all documents organised and accessible Communication: You will be the direct line of contact for customers, drivers and the wider team Invoicing: Generate invoices using the internal system Skills and Knowledge:Have a strong understanding of Logistics and Freight ForwardingHighly organised and detail orientated in all areasStrong problem solving skillsExcellent time management skillsProficient with Microsoft Office, Excel and WordThrive in high pressure environmentsFlexible attitude, assist with loading, ..... full job details .....
