About the Role

Pertemps West Bromwich seeks an experienced Logistics Supervisor to lead warehouse operations at a manufacturing facility in Oldbury, paying £17.17 per hour on a full-time basis. You will direct the logistics team, coordinate deliveries and collections, and manage loading, unloading, and stock control with precision. Given the site's Lower Tier COMAH status, robust knowledge of hazardous materials, health & safety protocols, and safe handling procedures is essential. Your remit covers maintaining accurate inventory records, supervising vehicle movements, and ensuring every task meets compliance standards. This permanent role demands strong leadership, organisational ability, and a meticulous approach to operational safety and efficiency.

Pertemps West Bromwich are currently recruiting for an experienced Logistics Supervisor to lead the day-to-day logistics and warehouse operations at a busy manufacturing facility in Oldbury.
You will supervise the logistics team, coordinate deliveries and collections, oversee loading and unloading, manage stock and ensure all activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
The site operates under Lower Tier COMAH, so a strong understanding of health & safety, hazardous materials and safe working practices is essential.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise the logistics and warehouse team.
Coordinate deliveries, collections and vehicle movements.
Oversee loading, unloading and material handling.
Maintain accurate stock records.
Ensure safe storage and handling of materials.
Complete required transport and logistics paperwork.
Carry out toolbox talks and safety briefings.
Support audits, inspections and emergency procedures.
Identify and implement improvements to safety and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with COMAH, ADR, COSHH and company procedures.

About You

Previous experience in a logistics, warehouse or supervisory role.
Experience in a chemical, manufacturing, hazardous or COMAH environment is preferred.
Good understanding of health & safety and safe systems of work.
Experience supervising people and coordinating daily activities.

Working Hours & Pay

Monday to Thursday 08.30 - 16.45 and 08.30 - 16.15 on Friday (37.5 hours)
£17.17 per hour
