Logistics Supervisor - Luton

Liberty Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a leading distributor in recruiting a Logistics Supervisor based in Luton.

The salary is up to £33,000, depending on experience, plus numerous company benefits, including 25 days holiday and more!

The main purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth running of the depot. This is an operational hands-on role and other duties will include making sure the company vehicles are maintained and to ensure compliance with and H&S regulations and company policy.  

Some of your duties will include;

• Monitoring, evaluating and reporting Depot KPI’s
• Ensure that the depot and all staff, contractors and visitors adhere to Health and Safety and that the depot and vehicles are compliant with all Health and Safety regulations
• Driver supervision (Including Timesheets, Appearance/Uniforms, Documentation) and the implementation of driver training
• General administration support
• Ensuring the depot is up kept and required maintenance carried out

As an individual, it is essential that you have previous experience operating at a similar level and logistics knowledge.

Any knowledge of logistics, transport or warehousing in healthcare sectors, such as; NHS, medical devices, pharmaceutical or life sciences would be a huge advantage!  

You will need working knowledge of H&S practices, a continuous improvement mind-set and excellent communication skills. You will also need to be resilient, tenacious and keen to lead by example.   

This is a full-time, permanent role. The core depot hours are 6am – 6pm and this is a 40-hour contract. Your hours would be worked within this timeframe.
