Logistics Planner

We have a great opportunity for a Logistics Professional to work on complex, innovative and world leading projects such as Typhoon. Join BAE Systems and you will be working alongside other teams to deliver products that will be in service for 40+ years and be continually upgraded to maintain Customers Air Defence capabilities. The role will involve elements of the following: - Order book management and maintenance. Release of kits and expedition of internal and external supply chain shortages, including obtaining forecasts and driving supply chain improvements where required to support delivery of scheduled commitments to the customers. - Management of assets and tooling including the control of calibrated equipment - Provision of active support to the resolution of problems affecting the ability of operations to work to the workload plan. - Open, honest and timely communication with appropriate stakeholders of information effecting the successful progression of logistics and operations activities. - Assist in the coordination/management of shipment and receipt of parts and tooling in line with the delivery schedule and export control regulations. - Support to the achieving and reviewing of key business performance metrics and the timely implementation of any actions resulting from the reviews. - Support any activity surrounding company health, safety and environment plans and take due responsibility for yourself and colleagues operating in your area. - Ensure that ..... full job details .....
