Job Title: Transport Planner Salary: 35,000 per annum Location: Kingston upon Hull HU3 About the RoleOur client is seeking a highly organised and proactive Transport Planner to join their growing logistics team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient planning, coordination, and execution of transport operations, delivering excellent service to customers while optimising fleet performance. Working HoursMonday to Friday: 7:00am - 4:00pm1 in 4 Saturdays: 8:00am - 12:00pm Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and schedule daily transport routes to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveriesMonitor vehicle movements and respond quickly to any delays or issuesLiaise with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate logistics activitiesEnsure compliance with all transport regulations, including driver hours and vehicle safetyMaintain accurate transport records and update systems in real-timeAnalyse transport data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvementsManage and resolve delivery or service issues professionally and promptlySupport continuous improvement initiatives within the transport function RequirementsPrevious experience in a transport planning or logistics roleStrong geographical knowledge of the UK road networkExcellent organisational and problem-solving skillsAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentGood communication skills and the ability to build relationships with drivers and stakeholdersProficiency in transport planning software and ..... full job details .....
