Logistics OperativeLocation: MelkshamJob Type: Temporary rolling contract - OngoingOur client, a global engineering company based in Melksham, is currently seeking a Logistics Operative to join their Stores department on an ongoing temporary basis. The company manufactures components for the rail industry and operates across multiple locations throughout Europe.This role will report directly to the Cell Leader and will involve supporting production operations by ensuring the efficient movement and management of materials.Key ResponsibilitiesPicking orders for productionLine feeding production cellsPacking goods for despatchBooking in both clean and dirty goodsWorking towards a zero-defects processManaging first-in, first-out (FIFO) stock controlInteracting with internal and external customersManaging inventory effectivelyWorking efficiently in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrating good teamwork and leadership qualitiesSkills and Experience RequiredPrevious experience in a similar logistics, warehouse, or stores roleAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesStrong attention to detailSAP experience would be advantageous but is not essentialWorking HoursMonday - Thursday: 07:00 - 15:30Friday: 07:00 - 12:00Additional InformationImmediate start available for the right candidateOngoing temporary opportunity with a well-established engineering ..... full job details .....
