Logistics Operations Coordinator

The opportunityThis is a 6 month contract, starting ASAP, you need to have access to your own transport and be located within an hour of CO6. An established national logistics operation is looking for a highly organised Logistics Administrator to support its busy transport planning team. You will keep the administrative side of daily operations running smoothly, making sure drivers, field teams and planners have the information, bookings and support they need to deliver customer work effectively.This role does not involve planning or designing delivery routes. It is an excellent opportunity for someone with logistics, transport or fast-paced operational administration experience who would like to develop into a Transport Logistics Planner. The initial appointment is a six-month fixed-term contract, with the aim of progressing into a permanent Planner opportunity.What you''ll be doingProvide day-to-day administrative support to the transport and logistics planning team.Book hotels, accommodation and ad-hoc travel for drivers and field-based colleagues.Prepare and update job information, work instructions, site-access details and customer requirements.Act as a communication link between planners, drivers, field teams, sales colleagues and operational managers.Monitor shared inboxes, calls and Teams messages, passing information to the appropriate colleague and following up actions.Maintain accurate records, trackers and operational systems, ensuring information is current and ..... full job details .....
