You''ll be joining a Tier 1 main contractor, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and managing all site logistics to ensure the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted delivery of the project.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-profile, large-scale industrial scheme, working alongside experienced construction professionals in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the site logistics strategy to support all phases of construction.
- Manage site access, traffic management, deliveries, and material movements.
- Coordinate logistics activities with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Plan and oversee crane operations, lifting activities, and temporary works logistics.
- Ensure welfare facilities, site security, hoarding, and housekeeping standards are maintained.
- Monitor logistics performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Manage delivery booking systems and coordinate just-in-time deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and site security requirements.
- Support emergency planning and maintain clear access routes across the site.
- Produce logistics plans, reports, and site records, communicating updates to the project team.
- Promote a collaborative, well-organised, and safety-focused working environment.
You will have:
- Experience as a Logistics Manager on major construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction logistics, traffic management, and site operations.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and plant operations.
- Strong understanding of construction health and safety legislation and best practice.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Competence using Microsoft Office and logistics or project management software.
- A valid SMSTS qualification.
- CSCS Manager Card.
- First Aid qualification (desirable).
- Relevant logistics or construction management qualifications (desirable).
