Logistics Manager

Our client is a well-established specialist carpentry and joinery fit-out contractor, delivering high-quality projects across London and the surrounding areas. Due to continued growth and an increasing project pipeline, they are looking to appoint an experienced Logistics Manager to join their team.

This is a key role within the business, responsible for ensuring that materials, deliveries, labour, storage and site logistics are carefully planned and coordinated to keep projects running efficiently and on programme.

Responsibilities of the Logistics Manager:

• Managing the day-to-day logistics operation across multiple projects
• Planning and coordinating deliveries to site
• Liaising with Site Managers, Project Managers, suppliers and subcontractors
• Coordinating the movement and allocation of materials and equipment
• Ensuring materials arrive on site at the correct time and in the correct sequence
• Managing site storage and delivery requirements
• Coordinating vehicles, drivers and delivery schedules
• Monitoring stock levels and ensuring materials are available when required
• Organising collections and returns from sites
• Working closely with the workshop / production team to coordinate finished joinery deliveries
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, materials and logistics movements
• Identifying potential logistical issues and resolving them proactively
• Ensuring deliveries and logistics activities comply with site requirements and health & safety procedures
• Supporting multiple London-based projects simultaneously

The Logistics Manager must have/be:

• Previous experience in a logistics role within construction, fit-out, interiors, carpentry or joinery
• Experience coordinating multiple deliveries and live projects
• Strong organisational and planning skills
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities
• Good knowledge of London site logistics and delivery restrictions
• Strong attention to detail
• The ability to work effectively with Site Managers, Project Managers, suppliers and clients
• Good IT and administration skills
• A proactive, hands-on approach
