Our client are a leading manufacturer of precision parts for the aerospace industry. They are looking to add a Logistics Coordinator to their team on a permanent basis. Logistics CoordinatorPermanent positionGlobal manufacturer of precision components10% matched pension, 25 days holiday and life assurance Overall Responsibilities of the Position Co-ordinate day to day freight, shipping and transport operations. Collate and maintain production, inspection and test information. Co-ordinate test rings and accurately record and input results. Prepare, check and control all shipping and export documentation. Ensure compliance with relevant export control and customs requirements. Support weekend working at month end and undertake overtime requirement to support operational requirements. Preparation of Metallographic samples following successful completion of training. Key Area Responsibilities Liaise with shipping and transport providers to co-ordinate the movement of products by road, rail, sea and air. Organise miscellaneous transport services to support operational and business requirements. Work closely with shipping companies to maximise the efficient use of container and vehicle capacity whilst managing transportation costs effectively.
