Logistics AssistantLocation: MaltonSalary: 25,000 - 28,000An established and growing engineering-focused organisation is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Assistant to support its Production function. Reporting to the Procurement and Logistics Manager, you will play a key role in the effective control of stock, goods movements, and logistical processes, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the business. This role would suit either someone with previous logistics experience, or a candidate with a background in a warehouse or stores environment who is looking to step into a more logistics-focused role. For the right person with a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn, full training will be provided. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a structured environment, can manage multiple tasks, and takes pride in accuracy and organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Procurement and Logistics Manager in the day-to-day running of the departmentProcess goods inwards and outwards, ensuring correct quality control procedures are followedCarry out initial inspection of goods received (purchased, rented, or returned from clients)Arrange and coordinate shipping and collection of goodsKit parts from stock for production requirementsMonitor stock levels and report shortages to the Procurement and Logistics Manager and/or Production ManagerUndertake regular and ad-hoc stock checksRaise and issue purchase orders as ..... full job details .....
