This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to shape processes, drive efficiency, and build strong operational relationships across the supply chain.The successful candidate will oversee a small team (6), a dedicated fleet and manage third-party logistics partners, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery of goods.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational LeadershipManage and optimise daily logistics and distribution activitiesOversee a small in-house fleet, ensuring compliance, utilisation, and performanceTake a hands-on approach when required ("muck in") to support the teamTeam ManagementLead, motivate and develop a small logistics teamDemonstrate strong man-management skills with the ability to delegate effectivelyFoster a positive and productive working environmentDistribution and Cost ControlCreate, maintain and review distribution tariffs and pricing structuresIdentify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service levelsMonitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives3PL ManagementAct as the primary point of contact for third-party logistics providersBuild and maintain strong relationships with external partnersEnsure service level agreements (SLAs) are met ..... full job details .....
