Logistics and Customs Lead

Our client, a leading figure in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking a Logistics and Customs Lead to join their team in Leighton Buzzard. With a reputable presence in the aerospace industry, our client offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the management and optimisation of logistics and customs processes within a globally recognised organisation.Key Responsibilities:Manage daily import customs clearances across various customs procedures, including Inward Processing (IP) and Temporary Admission.Prepare export documentation and coordinate shipments via courier, air freight, or dedicated transport services.Review and validate all import and export customs declarations, ensuring accuracy and submitting amendments as required.Maintain accurate import and export logs, recording all relevant shipment and customs information.Train to become the site''s Global Trade focal point, providing cover and support when necessary.Ensure appropriate customs licences and authorisations for all import and export shipments.Liaise with customers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely customs clearance.Monitor and track inbound and outbound shipments for efficient and timely movement of goods.Review and code freight invoices for Finance, ensuring proper cost allocation.Prepare and submit quarterly IP Bills of Discharge (BOD) and maintain records for customs-controlled movements.Assist with loading and unloading vehicles when operationally required.Job ..... full job details .....
