About the Role:
Are you a detail-oriented logistics professional with a passion for international shipping and customer service? Carl Zeiss Microscopy is seeking a proactive and organised Logistics and Billing Co-ordinator to join our Production, Planning, Materials Logistics department on a maternity cover basis. This role involves coordinating global shipments, managing export documentation, and ensuring smooth communication with customers and logistics partners.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience:
- Proven experience in international shipping documentation and procedures.
- Strong background in customer communication across global markets.
- Experience with order processing and data maintenance using MRP/ERP systems.
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Qualifications:
- GCSE English and Maths (pass level required).
- Experience with SAP and process improvement techniques is desirable.
- Understanding of aviation security procedures is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main contact for SSCs and Clearing House regarding delivery updates.
- Liaise with third-party logistics partners to arrange shipment collection, packing, and dispatch.
- Generate SAP delivery notes and commercial invoices for EM systems.
- Prepare and process export documentation in line with contract and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate Proof of Export documentation in compliance with HMRC standards.
- Manage the Systems in Storage List and process transport invoices.
- Ensure adherence to company ISO procedures and controls.
