Job Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day movement of goods in line with operational requirements and agreed schedules.
  • Assist with receiving, checking, and processing deliveries to ensure correct items and quantities are recorded.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring labels and documentation are accurate.
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date records of stock movements and relevant logistics activity.
  • Contribute to safe warehouse operations by following health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Help keep work areas organised, clean, and compliant with site standards.
  • Support stock control activities, including basic cycle counts and locating items as required.
  • Escalate discrepancies, damaged goods, or process issues to the appropriate team member promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet service levels and resolve operational queries.

Required Skills andamp; Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (or demonstrable transferable experience).
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in picking, packing, and documentation.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills for stock records, labels, and basic reporting.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions clearly and consistently.
  • Basic understanding of stock control principles and goods-in/goods-out processes.
  • Comfort working in a physically active role, including lifting and moving goods safely.
  • Good timekeeping and reliability, with a focus on meeting operational deadlines.
  • Health and safety awareness, including safe working practices in a warehouse environment.
  • Competence using handheld devices or warehouse systems for scanning and recording (or willingness to learn quickly).
  • Relevant certifications are advantageous, such as a Counterbalance Forklift Licence (if applicable to site requirements).
