Locum Principal Contracts LawyerEast Midlands £60-70 per hour DOE5 days per weekMainly remote working with some hybrid attendanceTo start end of May/early June A highly reputable Local Authority in the East Midlands is seeking a Principal Contracts and Procurement Lawyer to join their friendly team for an initial 3 - 6 month period with a strong view for extension.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced local authority lawyer to join a friendly and supportive team.Candidates can work remotely for the majority of the role, although office attendance is desirable.The ideal candidate will have excellent working knowledge and experience of:Leading and advising on Contract and procurement lawStrategic Leadership and proven track record of managing a team of senior lawyers, lawyer and paralegalsAllocation and management of legal referralsStrong understanding of public sector frameworksDealing with commercial contracts, procurement, information management, IT, technology, construction, intellectual property, public law, grant agreementsJCT and NEC contractsAbility to sit and advise on various boards within the CouncilCompany Law experienceWe encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for shortlisting.
