LOCUM COMMUNITY PHLEBOTOMIST PART TIME BAND 2 ££ in Liverpool

OverviewCommunity Phlebotomist — Ellesmere Port, Part-time locum. Dream Medical are working with the NHS Trust and require a Band 2 phlebotomist to start ASAP for 2 months initially within the Ellesmere Port community team. The role will be from Wednesday to Friday and the session times are 09:00 – 17:00.

Responsibilities

Your role will be to obtain blood samples from patients in the community in accordance with local policies and procedures.

You will provide a safe blood collection service to patients in their own homes in accordance with infection control and governance guidelines adhering to lone worker policy.

You will obtain venous or capillary blood samples from patients in accordance with trust guidelines in patient\''s own homes and label and/or bar code specimen bottles accurately, then place samples into appropriately labelled bottles and suitably package for transport to the relevant laboratory.

You will conduct the procedure with proper regard to patient confidentiality and with an awareness of the patient\''s individual needs.

You will be expected to record appropriate information in identified documentation in accordance with local procedures and Trust requirements.

Qualifications / Requirements

Community Phlebotomist experience

Certificate of competency for Venepuncture

Own Vehicle and driving licence

Proof of immuisations

References to cover last 3 years
