A permanent opportunity has arisen for a Locomotive Mechanic to join Tata Steels Port Talbot works. Port Talbot steelworks are the largest in the UK and undergoing a significant decarbonisation project, which will be the largest of its kind in the world once completed. This role is ideal for a time served apprenticeship holder, with experience working on diesel electric and hybrid locomotives. Location: Tata Steel, Port Talbot, SA13 2NG Salary: -38,472.75 per annum (this includes a 12.5% shift allowance) Shift Patterns: rotating pattern, X7 days on, X2 days off. X3 days on, X2 days off. X5 days on, X2 days off. This pattern involves working one weekend in every three.
