We are currently recruiting an experienced and compassionate Live-in Support Worker to support an individual within a supported living setting in Bristol.

The Role

As a Live-in Support Worker, you will stay within the supported living accommodation during your agreed placement/rota and provide personalised support in accordance with the individual''s care and support plan.

The role is focused not only on providing care but also on promoting independence and enabling the individual to develop and maintain daily living skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support in accordance with the individual''s care and support plan.
• Support with personal care where required, including washing, dressing, toileting and maintaining personal hygiene.
• Support and encourage independence with everyday living activities.
• Assist with preparing meals, shopping and maintaining a safe and comfortable home.
• Support with medication in accordance with the individual''s medication plan and Elite at Home procedures.
• Support the individual to access the community, appointments, activities, education or employment where applicable.
• Encourage social interaction, hobbies and meaningful activities.
• Support the individual to develop life skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting and household management.
• Provide companionship and emotional support while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
• Recognise changes in the individual''s health, behaviour or wellbeing and report concerns promptly.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and immediately report any safeguarding concerns.
• Maintain accurate daily care notes, medication records, incident reports and other required documentation.
• Follow risk assessments, behaviour/support plans and agreed safeguarding measures.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, managers, families and other professionals involved in the individual''s support.
• Maintain confidentiality, dignity, privacy and respect at all times.
• Participate in handovers, supervision, training and service reviews.
• Follow Elite at Home policies, procedures and CQC requirements.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Caring, compassionate and respectful, Reliable and able to work independently, patient and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
• Committed to promoting independence rather than doing everything for the person being supported, able to communicate clearly and maintain accurate written records, comfortable working within a supported living environment, flexible and willing to work an agreed live-in rota.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience within care, supported living or a similar support role.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Understanding of safeguarding adults.
• Ability to follow care plans and risk assessments.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS check.
• Satisfactory employment references.
• Completion of all required mandatory training.

Desirable

Ideally, you will hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care and have previous experience working within a supported living environment. You should have experience supporting individuals to develop and maintain independent living skills, administering medication safely, and supporting people with additional or complex needs. A full UK driving licence is also desirable.
