We are currently seeking a female live-in carer to support a 92-year-old lady living independently in her home in Haydock The client has vascular dementia and wishes to remain living at home long term. She is very sociable, enjoys conversation, music, watching television and going out to local community groups. Having grown up on a farm, she likes to keep active and appreciates good company. This is a companionship-led placement rather than a clinical care package. The focus is on supporting daily routines, encouraging independence and providing friendly company. Key Responsibilities Providing companionship and conversation Prompting personal care (showering, dressing etc.) Preparing fresh meals Supporting daily routines Accompanying the client on outings and to community groups Light household tasks Typical Day Breakfast preparation and medication prompting Support with personal care prompting Lunch preparation and social activities Community outings when scheduled Evening meal preparation and companionship Sleeping nights (generally quiet) Candidate Requirements Female carer Good spoken English Warm, patient and sociable personality Dementia experience preferred Enjoys cooking and engaging with clients socially Driving licence beneficial but not essential.
