This is a great opportunity for a Regulatory, Enforcement or Criminal Lawyer looking for a varied public sector role, with responsibility for a full caseload of complex regulatory and criminal enforcement matters. The Role You''ll provide legal advice across a broad range of Council functions, including: Trading Standards and Environmental Health Health and Safety enforcement Planning enforcement Premises and Licensing matters Taxi and Private Hire Licensing Criminal prosecutions and regulatory enforcement Advising internal Council departments and stakeholders Drafting complaints, summonses, pleadings, notices and instructions to Counsel Conducting advocacy in courts and tribunals Advising and attending Licensing Committee meetings You''ll manage your own caseload while working closely with internal and external stakeholders, with the opportunity to support and develop junior members of the team.
