Litigation Lawyer
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Litigation Lawyer to join their Place Team on a temporary basis for approximately 3 months. This is a great opportunity for a qualified lawyer to deliver high-quality legal advice and representation within a busy, supportive local authority legal service.Key Responsibilities:Handling civil litigation, including appeals under the Housing Act 2004 in the First-Tier Tribunal, with associated advocacyProviding high-quality legal advice, assistance and representation to the Council across relevant areas of lawAdvising on the interpretation and application of council policies, procedures and governance requirementsComplying with quality assurance procedures, service level agreements and performance management requirementsContributing to a culture of learning, knowledge sharing and excellence within Legal ServicesLiaising with stakeholders in a way that promotes the Council''s values and behavioursSkills and Experience Required:Qualified barrister, solicitor, or experienced Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives with a full, valid practising certificateProven experience in civil litigation, including Housing Act 2004 appeals and First-Tier Tribunal advocacyLicensing experience desirable but not essentialAbility to draft without supervision and manage a caseload with an appropriate level of autonomyExcellent written and oral communication skills, able to explain complex legal arguments clearlyStrong ..... full job details .....
