Linux Engineer

Linux Automation Engineer The role will involve maintaining and enhancing existing automation solutions, supporting business-critical Linux infrastructure, and contributing to the continued evolution of platform engineering capabilities. You will work across both established and modern technologies, supporting existing platforms while identifying opportunities to improve automation, reliability and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Maintain, troubleshoot and enhance existing automation solutions developed using Perl, Python, Bash, Korn Shell and related Scripting technologies. Support and administer Linux-based production environments, ensuring high levels of availability, stability and reliability. Develop and optimise automation workflows to reduce manual intervention and improve operational efficiency. Investigate and resolve complex infrastructure, application and network issues across enterprise environments. Support CI/CD pipelines, source control and repeatable build and deployment processes using tools such as Git and Jenkins. Work closely with engineering, operations and support teams to investigate incidents, identify root causes and implement sustainable fixes. Support database-backed applications and services, including troubleshooting, maintenance and operational activities.
