Lining Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced CIPP Lining Engineer to join our growing Midlands team, working predominantly in the Severn Trent Water area.

Location: Midlands (Severn Trent Water Region)
Contract: Full Time – Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday with overtime opportunities available

With over £5m invested into the latest ProKASRO UV and Hybrid steam systems, 15 IMS cutters, including the newest electric models, Ipsum are looking for skilled operatives to work to the highest standards with some of the most advanced lining equipment anywhere in the UK.  You’ll have the opportunity to work across a full range of specialist rehabilitation solutions, including Top Hats and manhole sealing with our exclusive Obic product.

You’ll be helping to deliver essential drainage rehabilitation works that keeps critical water networks operating efficiently. You’ll use specialist equipment and techniques to repair issues and provide long-lasting solutions for our customers.

What you’ll be doing:
As a CIPP Lining Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:

• Rehabilitating some of our clients most critical sewers
• Reducing infiltration into foul water sewers
• Relining pressure pipes and rising mains using both standard and non-resin semi-structural products
• Using Vericure & UV curing protocols to ensure we deliver a finished product to meet our clients’ expectations, conforming to manufacturers installation and curing recommendations
• Working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver projects safely and efficiently
• Ensuring all works are completed in line with health and safety, quality and environmental standards
• Acting as a key point of contact on site, maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

With 95% of our relining works being planned between Monday-Friday each week, we ensure we work with you to get the right work-life balance.

What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for passionate individuals who want to push the boundaries of CIPP lining in the UK whilst developing a career to become a key part of the ‘No Dig’ industry and set the standards for the next generation of trenchless workers. As well as this:

• At least 5 years CIPP Lining installation experience, with 2 years installing to leak tight CP655 or CP308 specifications
• Medium Risk Confined Space & NRSWA Signing, Lighting & Guarding, and other industry standard accreditations
• Experience within the drainage, utilities or wastewater industry
• Full UK Driving licence (HGV Class 2 is also desirable)
• Fantastic attention to detail, with the ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to lead site activities and maintain high standards of safety, quality and performance, with a focus on being compliant with our paperwork, daily briefings & checks
