Key Responsibilities of a Lifting Supervisor:

• Communication:-Maintaining clear and effective communication with crane operators, signallers, and other relevant personnel.-

• Safety Management:-Identifying and mitigating potential hazards, ensuring proper load security, and implementing risk management strategies.-

• Inspection and Maintenance:-Conducting pre-lift inspections and ensuring equipment is properly maintained.-

• Documentation:-Maintaining records of lifting operations and reporting any incidents or near misses

• Planning and Coordination:-Developing and implementing lifting plans, coordinating personnel, and ensuring all equipment is in safe working order.-

• Supervision:-Directing and overseeing lifting operations, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and procedures.-

• Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Knowledge:-Understanding of lifting equipment, safety regulations, and risk assessment.-
• Leadership Skills:-Ability to lead and motivate a team, make decisions under pressure, and communicate effectively.-
• Communication Skills:-Clear and concise communication with all members of the lifting team.-
• Physical Fitness:-Ability to perform duties in a physically demanding environment.-
• Training and Certification:-Completion of a recognized lifting supervisor training program, such as a-Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Controlling Lifting Operations (Construction),-and holding a relevant card (e.g.,-CPCS-or-NPORS
