Lifting Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced-Lifting Supervisor-to join a major construction delivery team working on a large-scale project in Somerset.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing lifting operations on site, ensuring all lifting activities are planned, coordinated, and carried out safely in line with project requirements, industry standards, and site procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate lifting operations across the project
• Ensure lifting activities are carried out safely and efficiently
• Review and implement lifting plans, permits, and method statements
• Coordinate with site management, lifting teams, subcontractors, and appointed persons
• Monitor lifting operations to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and procedures
• Carry out site checks and ensure lifting equipment is suitable and correctly used
• Support planning and sequencing of lifting activities alongside construction teams
• Promote a strong safety culture across all lifting operations
• Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to lifting activities

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Lifting Supervisor within a major construction environment
• Valid CPCS or equivalent lifting supervisor qualification
• Strong understanding of lifting operations, risk assessments, and lifting plans
• Experience managing complex lifting activities on large-scale projects
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong focus on health, safety, and quality standards
