Salary Options:
- -70,00075,000, depending on experience, for staff engineers with no additional travel or overtime payments; or
- -55,000 basic salary, plus travel and overtime payments.
Benefits: 25 days'' annual holiday plus bank holidays, full Bupa private healthcare for the employee and their immediate family, and ongoing technical training.
Commutable from: Warrington, Manchester, Stockport, Preston, Blackpool, Oldham, Rochdale, Blackburn, St Helens, Liverpool, Altrincham, Macclesfield and surrounding areas.
Marmon Lift Recruitment is seeking two experienced Lift Modernisation Engineers to join an established lift and escalator company covering Warrington and the wider North West.
The successful candidates will modernise, upgrade, and refurbish passenger and goods lifts, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and project specifications.
Two competitive salary structures are available, allowing candidates to choose between a higher fixed salary or a basic salary supplemented by travel and overtime payments.
The Lift Modernisation Engineer Role
- Modernise and upgrade passenger and goods lifts, completing mechanical and electrical work to a high standard.
- Replace components, control systems, wiring and associated equipment.
- Work accurately from technical drawings, wiring diagrams and project specifications.
- Diagnose installation issues and complete testing, adjustments and commissioning support.
- Ensure compliance with lift regulations, safety standards and company procedures.
- Liaise with project teams and maintain accurate site records.
- Travel throughout the North West and occasionally beyond.
- Support new lift installation projects when required.
Ideal Lift Modernisation Engineer Candidate
- Strong experience modernising or refurbishing passenger and goods lifts.
- NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering, Lift Installation or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills, including the ability to interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Good knowledge of lift regulations and health and safety requirements.
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or within a project team.
- Willing to travel, with a full UK driving licence.
- New installation experience, or a willingness to develop these skills, would be a significant advantage.
