Lifestyle Lead
Lifestyle Lead
Lead Experiences. Inspire People. Make Every Day Matter.
Park View Care Centre is looking for an exceptional Lifestyle Lead to join our ambitious and award-winning team.
This is not simply an activities role.
We are looking for someone who understands that a meaningful and fulfilling life does not stop when someone moves into a care home. Someone who is passionate about creating experiences, building relationships, bringing energy and imagination into everyday life, and ensuring that every resident has opportunities to continue doing the things that matter to them.
Park View is a multi-award-winning care home with high ambitions. We are proud of what we have achieved, but we are not standing still. Our focus is firmly on continuing our journey towards becoming an Outstanding care home, and we are looking for an ambitious and driven individual who wants to be part of that journey.
As our Lifestyle Lead, you will lead and inspire our Lifestyle Team and play a central role in enhancing the lived experience of every resident across Park View.
You will be someone who is driven, focused and outcome-orientated. You will take pride in seeing ideas become reality and will want to be recognised for leading a team that genuinely makes a difference to people's lives.
The Role
As Lifestyle Lead, you will have responsibility for designing, developing and delivering an exceptional lifestyle and activities programme across the home.
You will lead from the front, spending the majority of your working time directly engaging with residents and role-modelling the delivery of meaningful, vibrant and stimulating activities across all areas of the home.
You will understand that one programme does not suit everyone.
Our residents include people living with dementia, residents requiring nursing care, people who are bedbound, and individuals with a wide range of interests, abilities and life experiences. You will therefore ensure that our approach is personalised, inclusive and based on relationship-centred care.
You will lead a team that creates opportunities for residents to experience joy, purpose, connection and achievement every day.
But the role goes beyond activities.
You will be an integral member of the wider Park View team and will play a key role in the design, planning and delivery of events within the home. From major celebrations and community events to smaller moments that bring residents and families together, you will bring creativity, energy and ambition to everything we do.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Leading an Outstanding Lifestyle Programme
Designing and delivering meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities for residents across the home.
Developing personalised activities based on residents' histories, interests, preferences and abilities.
Ensuring activities reflect the needs of residents living with dementia, those requiring nursing care and residents who are bedbound or unable to easily participate in group activities.
You will role-model the delivery of activities and engaging directly with residents.
Creating targeted programmes that ensure no resident is excluded from meaningful engagement.
Leading and Inspiring Your Team
Leading, motivating and developing the Lifestyle Team.
Setting clear expectations and ensuring high standards are consistently achieved.
Inspiring colleagues across the home to recognise their role in enhancing residents' lived experience.
Encouraging care and support teams to actively participate in creating meaningful moments for residents.
Creating a positive, energetic and creative team culture.
Events and Community Engagement
Playing a key role in the planning, design and delivery of events at Park View.
Working closely with the senior management team to create memorable events for residents, relatives, staff and the wider community.
Developing relationships with local organisations, schools, entertainers and community groups.
Promoting Park View and showcasing the exceptional experiences taking place within the home.
Bringing fresh ideas and a ‘how can we make this happen?’ approach.
Communication and Promotion
Leading the design, development and delivery of the home's newsletter.
Ensuring the newsletter captures and celebrates life at Park View, including activities, events and achievements.
Supporting the promotion of activities and events to residents, relatives and the wider community.
Helping to tell the story of life at Park View and the difference our Lifestyle Team makes.
Quality and Outcomes
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records relating to activities and resident engagement.
Reviewing participation and outcomes to ensure activities are genuinely meaningful and effective.
Identifying opportunities to improve the lifestyle programme.
Using feedback from residents and relatives to continuously develop the service.
Demonstrating the positive impact that the Lifestyle Team has on residents' wellbeing and quality of life.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who wants more than just a job.
You will be someone who takes ownership, has high standards and genuinely wants to make a difference.
You will be comfortable leading others and will have the confidence to bring ideas forward, challenge the status quo and continually look for ways to improve.
Most importantly, you will understand that great activities and events are not simply about filling a timetable. They are about creating experiences, maintaining identity, building relationships and ensuring that every resident has the opportunity to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.
You will ideally be:
Driven and ambitious.
Highly organised and able to turn ideas into reality.
Focused on achieving outcomes.
Creative, energetic and enthusiastic.
A problem solver.
A natural leader who can motivate and inspire others.
Confident working as part of a wider leadership team.
Passionate about improving the lives of older people.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Someone who enjoys being recognised for achieving exceptional results.
Willing to challenge yourself and your team to continually improve.
Experience
We would love to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
Experience of organising, coordinating and delivering activities, events or lifestyle programmes.
Experience of leading, motivating or inspiring others.
A proven ability to organise and manage multiple activities or events.
Experience of working with, supporting or engaging older people.
Experience of working with people living with dementia would be highly desirable.
An understanding of relationship-centred care.
A genuine ability to connect with people and understand what matters to them.
Skills and Knowledge
You will need:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

The ability to prioritise effectively and manage a varied workload.
Confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
Creativity and the ability to develop new ideas.
Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
Good record-keeping and data management skills.
The ability to review information and identify areas for improvement.
A willingness to learn, develop and continually improve.
Qualifications
An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent qualification, would be desirable but is not essential.
For us, attitude, leadership ability, creativity and a genuine passion for improving residents' lives are equally important.
