As such, this represents a fantastic time to join the team and play a key role in developing its presence within this fascinating and rapidly evolving sector. As Development Underwriter, you''ll be responsible for generating and underwriting new business opportunities within the Life Sciences market, working closely with insurance brokers throughout the UK to develop profitable relationships and increase the company''s market share. Whilst specific experience within the Life Sciences insurance sector would certainly be welcomed, this is by no means essential. Applications are equally encouraged from commercially-minded Underwriters with experience of underwriting other classes of commercial insurance who are keen to develop a specialism within Life Sciences. Crucially, however, you must have a successful track record of writing new business and genuinely enjoy the new business side of underwriting.
