Licensing Officer
Venn Group are currently recruiting for Licensing Officers on an interim opportunity within a Private Hire Vehicle Licensing department.Rate: Negotiable (Inside IR35) Duration: 3-6 months with potential extension Working Pattern: Full-time (Hybrid) Location: West MidlandsResponsibilities:Assist in the processing of applications for licences, permits and registrationsSupport the efficient and effective operation of Licensing ServicesEnsure fees are processed accurately and records reflect transactions correctlyProvide advice and information to members of the public, local businesses and internal officers via telephone and face-to-face interactionsProcess and issue licence and registration applicationsMaintain registers, records and statistics using manual and computerised systemsRespond to telephone calls and personal enquiries in a professional and timely mannerPrepare routine correspondence, letters and memorandums as requiredAttend meetings, conferences and seminars where requiredPrepare and present reports to officers and elected membersSupport service improvement initiatives and wider departmental developmentEnsure compliance with council policies, procedures and relevant legislation including Data Protection and Health and Safety regulationsParticipate in training, appraisal and continuous professional development activitiesUndertake additional duties appropriate to the grade and responsibilities of the roleRequirements:Previous experience within administration, ..... full job details .....
