Library Assistant/Driver Relief

Closing: 25 th September Library Assistant/Driver Relief Based at Enniskillen Vehicle kept at EA Transport Department Sligo Road Enniskillen Temporary- Until 31/12/2026 (Subject to review) £13.63 per hour 21.25 hours per week Main Purpose Under the direction of the line manager the post holder will assist in the delivery of library services, providing relief cover on general mobile libraries, the homecall service or stock delivery vans across a geographic area The post holder will be a member of a team of front line staff providing library services to meet the needs of the community and Libraries NI priorities. The post holder will be responsible for driving, maintaining and all record keeping in relation to the legislative requirements associated with the vehicle. The post holder may be required from time to time to provide relief cover at other service points in order to meet business need. Main Roles and Responsibilities Under the direction of the appropriate Line Manager: 1. Assist clients to make best use of services and facilities through; a) selecting stock for homecall clients and delivering this to their home, b) Handling client enquiries using print and electronic resources (e.g. Books, Virtual, Library Service and the Internet), c) Helping clients to select and use library resources and facilities (including e-resources), d) Introducing and explaining relevant library services, rules and regulations to new and existing clients, e) Maintaining client ..... full job details .....
