LGV Shunter Driver

We are recruiting for Terberg Shunter Drivers at our Bridgwater Depot within the Muller Milk and Ingredients Distribution Business. Contract: Full Time / Permanent Location: Bridgwater (Dairy and Depot), Market Way, North Petherton, Bridgwater, TA6 6DF - role will be yard based Shift Pattern: 4 on 3 off Wednesday - Saturday 18:00 - 06.30 (Nights) Hourly Rate: £16.63 -£28.51 per hour Overtime rate: £18.71 Class 1 Shunter Driver Key Skills and Experience Terberg experience (mandatory)HGV Class 1 Licence (mandatory)Current CPC and digital driving card (mandatory)No more than 6 minor points on driving licence (No CDs, DDs, DRs or INs)An effective team member who works well on their own initiativeDemonstrates an excellent attitude to workSelf - motivated with a positive attitude and extremely reliableMust be comfortable with the physical nature of the role Class 1 Shunter Driver Role and Responsibilities Coordinate the onsite bay movements ensuring that all equipment is fully compliantPuts safety first and respects all other road users.Diligent in ensuring driver and vehicle checks are completed correctly.Conduct regular checks on all vehicles and trailers to ensure they meet the necessary safety and compliance standards. If a vehicle or trailer is not compliant defect to the workshop for repairs or maintenance.Prioritise, assess, and control safety, health, and workplace risks.
