Cover People are currently recruiting for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Salford on a long-term basis.

This opportunity would suit an experienced TA who is passionate about supporting children''s learning, has a good understanding of the primary curriculum and can provide effective classroom and small-group support.

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to support learning across the primary school, helping pupils develop their knowledge, confidence and independence.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons and classroom activities.

• Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and deliver targeted interventions.

• Providing additional assistance to pupils who require help accessing the curriculum.

• Supporting children with SEND and adapting activities to meet individual learning needs.

• Helping maintain positive behaviour and effective classroom routines.

• Preparing learning materials and classroom resources.

• Monitoring pupil engagement and progress, providing feedback to the teacher.

• Encouraging pupils to develop independence, confidence and positive learning habits.

• Supporting literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities.

• Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff and other professionals.

• Contributing to a safe, welcoming and well-organised classroom environment.

We are looking for a proactive and nurturing Teaching Assistant who can use their experience to make a positive contribution to pupils'' development.

You should have:

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent relevant experience.

• Previous experience working within a primary school.

• A good understanding of the primary curriculum.

• Experience supporting pupils with a range of abilities and learning needs.

• Confidence delivering small-group activities and targeted interventions.

• Strong communication and behaviour-management skills.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• A patient, adaptable and positive approach.

• A genuine commitment to helping children achieve their potential.

Experience supporting pupils with SEND would be particularly beneficial.
