Astro Education are currently supporting a specialist SEN/SEMH school in South Manchester that is looking to recruit enthusiastic and resilient Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching Assistants to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. The school works with pupils who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing a supportive, structured environment with small class sizes and a strong focus on individual development. The Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils both academically and emotionally. You will work closely with teachers and the wider school team to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and develop the skills they need to succeed. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting pupils within small SEMH-focused classes. Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required. Supporting pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs. Helping pupils engage positively with their learning. Building trusting and positive relationships with pupils.
