The Role

As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you will support children throughout their early years journey, helping them learn and develop through play, exploration and engaging activities.

You will work closely with other nursery practitioners and Early Years professionals to provide high-quality care and education, while building strong relationships with children and supporting their individual needs and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Support children''s learning and development through play, exploration and engaging activities.
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that encourage children''s curiosity, creativity and development.
• Support children''s personal, social and emotional development.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with children and help them develop confidence and independence.
• Work closely with colleagues to provide a consistent and supportive learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers and communicate effectively regarding children''s progress.
• Ensure the safety, welfare and wellbeing of all children at all times.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain high standards of care.
• Observe and support children''s development in line with the EYFS framework.
• Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive and stimulating nursery environment.

Key Requirements

• A Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare is essential.
• A genuine passion for working with and supporting young children.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Previous experience working in an early years or nursery setting is desirable.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A positive, caring and enthusiastic approach.
• The ability to build strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children''s welfare.
