TeacherActive is proud to be working with a large, well-established nursery in Coventry with over 100 children on roll. The nursery provides a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to learn, develop, and thrive through play-based learning.

We are currently recruiting for a passionate and enthusiastic Level 3 Nursery Nurse to join the dedicated Early Years team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced childcare professional who is committed to providing high-quality care and education while supporting children''s learning and development during their early years.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (essential).
  • At least 6 months'' experience working with children in a nursery, preschool, or Early Years setting.
  • A strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A caring, nurturing, and positive approach.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Experience planning engaging activities that promote learning through play.
  • A commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support children''s learning, development, and wellbeing in line with the EYFS Framework.
  • Deliver engaging play-based activities that promote all areas of learning.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Observe, assess, and record children''s progress where required.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming learning environment.
  • Support children''s personal, social, and emotional development.
  • Encourage children''s independence, confidence, and curiosity.
  • Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are always met.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider nursery team to provide outstanding childcare.
Compliance Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A minimum Level 3 Childcare or Early Years qualification (essential).
  • At least 6 months'' experience working with children.
  • Two professional references from recent employers.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one through TeacherActive.
  • The Right to Work in the UK.
