Job Title: Level 2 Early Years Teaching Assistant - 1:1 SEND Support

Location: Warrington, Cheshire
Pay: -13.68 - -14.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term

We are currently recruiting for a committed and caring Level 2 Early Years Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with SEND within a mainstream nursery in Warrington. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by supporting a child''s development both academically and socially.

As a Level 2 Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning, deliver personalised support, and ensure the child can thrive within the classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a child with special educational needs (SEND).
• Adapt activities and resources to meet individual learning requirements.
• Support the class teacher in implementing personalised learning strategies.
• Encourage social, emotional, and academic progress in line with EHCP targets.
• Promote inclusion and a positive learning environment for all pupils.

Requirements

• A recognised Level 2 Early Years Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience working with children with SEND, ideally in a 1:1 setting.
• Strong understanding of strategies for supporting additional needs.
• Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with young learners.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
