Lettings Officer

Temporary Lettings Officer Location: East Midlands Rate: Competitive hourly rate Hours: 37 hours per week Contract: 3 Months (High Likelihood of Extension) We are currently recruiting for an experienced Lettings Officer to join a busy housing team on an interim basis. This is an immediate opportunity for someone with a strong background in housing allocations and lettings, who can hit the ground running and support the team during a busy period. Key Responsibilities Manage property allocations in line with relevant policies and procedures. Carry out pre-tenancy assessments and ensure applicants meet eligibility criteria. Conduct property viewings and tenancy sign-ups. Liaise with prospective tenants and provide advice throughout the lettings process. Ensure all relevant documentation and tenancy records are completed accurately. Work proactively to minimise void periods and support efficient property turnaround. Deliver a customer-focused lettings service. Essential Requirements Previous experience working as a Lettings Officer or within a similar housing role. Strong experience in property allocations. Proven experience carrying out pre-tenancy assessments. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as the role involves travelling across the patch for viewings and sign-ups.
