Lettings Assistant

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established housing association for a Temporary Lettings Assistant to support their team across London and surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer service skills who enjoys working with people and is looking to gain experience within the housing sector. Previous lettings experience is desirable but not essential, with full support provided.

The role has been created to help reduce a backlog of vacant properties and is offering -22 per hour via umbrella on an initial 2 month contract with potential of further extension. You will be property and tenant-facing on a daily basis, conducting viewings, meeting prospective tenants and supporting them through the lettings process. IT and administrative work can be completed from home.-

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct property viewings and meet prospective tenants face-to-face.
• Support tenants through the lettings process, including paperwork and sign-ups.
• Provide a professional, friendly and welcoming service.
• Liaise with tenants, colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth process.
• Maintain accurate records and complete relevant administration.
• Help reduce the backlog of vacant properties by progressing lets efficiently.
• Travel between properties across Croydon, Richmond, Wandsworth, Greenwich, Surrey and surrounding areas.
• Complete IT and administrative tasks from home when not attending property visits.

• Confident dealing with people face-to-face.
• Professional, friendly and approachable.
• Experience in housing, lettings, property or customer service is desirable.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider team.
• Happy travelling between different locations and carrying out daily property visits.
• A driving licence is not essential, as public transport, including the Tube, can be used.
• Available Monday to Friday for the duration of the assignment.
