Job Title: Legal SecretarySector: Commercial PropertyLocation: ChesterfieldHours: Full TimeContract: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract (Potential to go Permanent)Salary: £25-30,000 Depending on Experience A well-established law firm in Barlborough is seeking an experienced Commercial Property Legal Secretary to join their busy and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, organised and proactive legal support professional who enjoys working within a fast-paced commercial property department. You will provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support to fee-earners within the Commercial Property team, ensuring matters progress smoothly and clients receive an efficient, professional service. Responsibilities:
- Document Production - Preparing, formatting and amending legal documents, contracts, leases and correspondence.
- File Management - Opening, maintaining and closing files, ensuring compliance with firm procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Client Communication - Handling incoming calls, emails and enquiries professionally, maintaining excellent client care.
- Diary & Workflow Support - Managing diaries, booking appointments, scheduling meetings and supporting fee-earners with workload organisation.
- Land Registry & Searches - Submitting applications, conducting searches and assisting with pre-completion and post-completion tasks.
- Billing & Administration - Assisting with billing, file audits, compliance checks and general administrative duties.
- Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within the legal sector
- Confidence typing quickly and producing accurate complex documents
- Excellent communication and customer care skills
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to work
- Confidence using a variety of software including MS Office Suite and Case Management Systems
