Legal Counsel (1–4 PQE)
to join their in-house team on a permanent basis.This is an exciting opportunity to work within a small, collaborative legal function and to help shape the way legal services are delivered across the wider group. The successful candidate will support on a variety of high-value projects across industrial, multi-room, civils and infrastructure sectors, working directly with project teams and senior stakeholders.The role would suit a qualified solicitor with a strong grounding in commercial contracts and an interest in construction law, whether gained in private practice or already in-house.As Legal Counsel, your role will include, but is not limited to:Reviewing and negotiating commercial agreementsDrafting template documents, policies, and guidance materialsAdvising and assisting project teams across the businessSupporting the business in managing risks and avoiding disputesManaging claims (including insurance claims) and liaising with external counsel as requiredDelivering legal training to commercial, design, and operational teamsHelping to devise and implement processes to support projects and mitigate risksThe successful candidate will:Be a qualified solicitor (1–4 PQE) with experience in reviewing and negotiating commercial agreementsIdeally have some experience in construction law (though this is not essential)Be pragmatic, approachable, and commercially minded, with excellent communication skillsEnjoy working as part of a team and building relationships across the businessBenefits include:Competitive salary (dependent on experience)26 days of annual leavePension schemeComprehensive benefits packageExcellent training and development opportunities within a supportive working environmentThis is a fantastic opportunity for a junior lawyer to build their in-house career with a major UK construction and engineering business, gaining exposure to high-value and complex projects of national importance.If you are interested in this role and would like to know more, please contact
