LEGAL COUNSEL - COMMERCIAL PROPERTY and LAND RIGHTS CENTRAL SURREY (c2 DAYS PER WEEK IN OFFICE) PERMANENT ROLE 70,000 BASIC SALARY Morgan Philips Specialist Recruitment are presently representing a UK based multi-utility network utilities provider in their search someone to join their in house legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on the negotiation of a range of agreements and transactions from instruction to completion. You would supervise other, more junior members of the legal team and be responsible for identifying and advising on legal risks and implementing appropriate mitigations. This role is responsible for: Managing and negotiating land rights and water adoption transactions from instruction to completion.Supervising junior members of the legal team on land rights matters.Identifying risk in relation to legal matters and developing and implementing appropriate mitigations.Assisting with the resolution of complex legal matters.Assisting with the general/commercial contracts function of the business on an ad-hoc basis and where there is residual capacity. Key Responsibilities: Managing utilities leases, transfers and wayleaves, from instruction to completionProvide ad-hoc legal advice and support to colleagues relating to legal mattersProvide instructions to external counsel on land rights projectsDevelop and draft bespoke contracts terms for land rights where appropriate to reflect the needs of the business.Be involved in the ..... full job details .....
