Legal Counsel (6 Month Contract)

– Public Procurement / Commercial ContractsLocation: Hybrid (3 days/week) – LondonStart: ASAP (by mid-September preferred)Day Rate: Competitive, depending on experienceAccuflex has a great opportunity for a talented and motivated Solicitor with experience in commercial contracts to join our client, an insurance company based in London. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a compact and dynamic in-house legal team, supporting a key function during a period of increased demand.

Responsibilities

Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including IT/SaaS, consultancy, and procurement agreements

Public Procurement: Advise on public procurement matters and support compliant contracting under relevant frameworks

Risk Management: Assess legal and commercial risks and provide practical mitigation strategies

Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a trusted advisor across business units, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners

Legal Support: Provide pragmatic and commercially sound legal advice across a broad spectrum of legal issues

Qualifications

Qualified Solicitor (England and Wales)

Strong experience in commercial contracting, with specific exposure to public procurement agreements would be ideal, but not essential

Comfortable working in regulated or public-private organisations

Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities with sound judgement
