An excellent Law firm based in Castleford are seeking a Legal Cashier to join on a full time, permanent basis. The role will be based in the office 5 days per week.
The primary role of a Legal Cashier is to provide direct support to the firm to enable the business to operate at optimum efficiency.
This will include but will not be limited to the main responsibilities given below. The Legal Cashier is expected to use a high degree of self-management and initiative.
The Role Key Responsibilities and Duties include:
andbull; Organisation and control of incoming and outgoing accounts data, including the preparation of client and Office payments by BACs / Faster Payment/ CHAPS / Cheque and any other form of Debit transaction as and when necessary. The checking and posting of bills on a day-to-day basis, the paying of cheques and cash into the bank (post office) on a daily basis or when received
andbull; Month End and Year-End procedures as and when required
andbull; Operation and safe maintenance of the Online banking system
andbull; All internal and external Bank Transfers
andbull; Liaison with Accountants as and when required
andbull; Liaison with Access re Proclaimandnbsp;
andbull; Dealing with general enquiries and general accounts administration (archiving, ledger write offs, purchase ledger etc)
andbull; Full understanding and compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules
andbull; Compliance with the SRA SAR (in conjunction with Finance Manager)
andbull; Maintenance of the required standard of client care
andbull; Provision of support services within the practice
