Legal Cashier

The RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Legal Cashier to join a well-established legal firm based in Chesterfield. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous accounts experience within a legal environment to play a key role in supporting the finance function.You will be responsible for ensuring all financial transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules.Key ResponsibilitiesProcessing client and office account transactionsHandling daily banking, including receipts and paymentsManaging client account reconciliationsProcessing CHAPS, BACS, and online paymentsPosting and allocating receipts and invoicesAssisting with month-end proceduresMaintaining accurate financial records in line with compliance regulationsLiaising with fee earners and external stakeholders regarding financial queriesAbout YouPrevious experience as a Legal Cashier is highly desirableStrong understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR)Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracyStrong organisational and time management skillsConfident using legal accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)Ability to work both independently and as part of a teamWhat''s on OfferCompetitive salary of £25,000 - £28,000Friendly and supportive working environmentOpportunity to join a reputable and growing firmOngoing training and development opportunitiesCompany Events ..... full job details .....
