Legal Cashier

Our client is a central London law firm with around 100 staff. They work in five main areas of business, including; Corporate, Real Estate and Private Client.Their benefits package includes corporate gym membership, season ticket loan, 25 days holiday and pension scheme.They are now looking to recruit a Legal Cashier. The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a legal firm and have good knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules.ResponsibilitiesProcessing client receipts and paymentsClient to Client Transfers including moving WIPClient to Office TransfersLiaising with the relevant fee earner for authorisation of invoicesInputting/payment of invoices onto Accounts PayablePost - sorting out internal/external Finance PostRecording cheques received in cheque logPaying in client and office cheques on Accounts System and preparing the bankingRe-opening matters when requestedWrite Offs - disbursements and WIPFile re-opening and closuresDaily FilingLiaising with banks on queries as and when requiredAny ad hoc tasks/queries which may be required from time to timeCandidate ProfileSRA Accounts Rules1-2 years accounts processing experienceMust be a team playerStrong IT, organizational skillsAble to manage own workload and show initiativeFlexible in approach to workExcellent written and verbal communication skillsImportant NoticeIt is Career Legal''s policy, as a matter of courtesy, to respond to all applications within three working days.
