Legal and Risk Officer

Eclectic Recruitment is working with an internationalorganisation based in Cambridge to recruit a Legal and Risk Officeron a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is a broad in-house role supporting colleagues across legal,compliance, governance and risk matters in the UK andinternationally. Key responsibilities will include: Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and legaldocuments. Advising colleagues on contractual and legal risk. Supporting procurement, consultancy and sub-grant agreements. Assisting with GDPR, compliance and corporate governancematters. Carrying out due diligence, including sanctions and AML checks. Supporting insurance, policies, procedures and internalcontrols. Liaising with external counsel and providing practical legalguidance. The successful candidate will ideally have: Experience within an in-house legal team or private practice. A good knowledge of English contract law. Experience across data protection, compliance and/orgovernance. Strong drafting, communication and organisational skills. A practical, commercial and solutions-focused approach.
