This is an exciting opportunity for a legal professional to provide comprehensive legal services to Chief Constables, officers, and staff, as well as to the Offices of the Police and Crime Commissioners (OPCC). Key Responsibilities: As a Legal Advisor, the successful candidate will: Offer tactical and strategic legal advice across a wide range of legal issues, including civil claims, Employment Tribunals, Inquests, and Judicial Review applications. Manage a diverse caseload, investigating and advising on contentious and non-contentious matters, while ensuring proactive legal support for police operations. Collaborate with police officers, staff, and partner agencies to obtain civil preventative orders, while working to mitigate strategic legal risks. Provide advocacy representation for the Chief Constable in various legal proceedings, ensuring thorough preparation and effective communication.
