Lecturer - Instrumentation / Measurement and Control

  • Location: Stirlingshire
  • Contract Type: Full-Time | Fixed-Term
  • Hours: 35 hours per week (Mon - Fri, 9:00 AM - 4:45 PM)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • End Date: Anticipated end October 2025, could extend
  • Rate: -30 - -45 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Overview:

An opportunity is available for a qualified and experienced individual to join the engineering team as a Lecturer in Instrumentation/Measurement and Control. The role involves delivering both practical and theoretical instruction to students, contributing to curriculum delivery, and supporting learners in developing the knowledge and skills needed for progression into industry or further study.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment in Instrumentation and Control.
  • Provide 23 hours of class contact per week.
  • Develop engaging lesson plans that connect theoretical concepts to real-world applications.
  • Support students through personalised academic and pastoral guidance.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery.
  • Contribute to student engagement, retention, achievement, and progression.

What You''ll Bring:

  • Relevant industrial experience in the field of instrumentation/measurement and control.
  • SVQ Level 3 qualification in engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum HNC qualification in Measurement and Control.
  • Teaching experience in a further education or training environment (preferred).
  • Assessor and/or internal verifier qualifications (preferred).
  • A strong understanding of the engineering sector and emerging trends.
  • A commitment to learner success and inclusive education.
  • Hold an Active PVG
