Lecturer in Theatre and Performance Design. DAY and NIGHT DRIVERS LTD, on behalf of University of the Arts London (UAL), seeks an experienced academic to deliver specialist teaching and guidance to students on the BA Theatre and Performance Design course.Based at Wimbledon College of Arts, the BA Theatre and Performance Design course focuses on set and costume design, equipping students with practical and conceptual skills for work in live events, contemporary theatre and performance design.Responsibilities
Teach and provide ongoing scholarship on the BA Theatre and Performance Design course and across the programme.Plan and deliver teaching and assessment that encourages student learning and development.Liaise with the course team to ensure teaching and learning opportunities meet appropriate standards of quality.Assist with coordination of visiting lecturers for specified units on the course.Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in a subject relevant to theatre design.Postgraduate degree in a relevant subject area is desirable, or equivalent experience demonstrated through professional practice.Expert knowledge and experience of contemporary theatre and performance design practices, especially digital practices; knowledge of current discourses within theatre design.Knowledge and experience of theatre/performance design within an industry and research context, with competencies in digital drafting and digitally based software platforms.Details
